Like i said, i build it just to prove the concept and get the feel of it myself.
This is the board that i got:
It is actually a clone of the Flycam Blackboard FC (http://www.kkmulticopter.kr). So all the guide to set it up i got from there. And i am using this to programmed the board - AVR Programming Device for ATMEL processors and this software - kkmulticopterflashtool 0.72. Flashed it with Minsoo's twin copter firmware.
The motors are Turnigy 1200kv with 8x4 props.
I am using two of this ESC - Hobbyking SS Series 25-30A ESC
As it come without any users manual i have to search for it. Lucky me i found it and decided to put it here.
- Super Simple 20A Programming Guide there are three setups.
- put throttle stick to max power and turn on the battery
- first – Lipo *peep* - *short pause* - *peep*
- second – Ni-XX *peep*peep* - *short pause* -*peep*peep*
- third – Brake *peep*peep*peep* - *short pause* -*peep*peep*peep*
- when you hear the bibs by the second time, just put the throttle stick to idle on the required setup.
- repeat the steps to all the configurations.
For the servos i am using this - Turnigy XGD-11HMB Digital Mini Servo 3.0kg / 11g / 0.12
Turned out it can't withstand the motor force, both servos were broken at the end of this trial. But for the sake of seeing it fly.
For the tilting mechanism, i really like the way David (rcexplorer.se) did his. So i am doing the same - Front Wheel Steering Arm & Mount Set 40mm (5sets)
The frame i built out of square wood stick i got from hardware store. Its not pretty but it did the job.
I got it to fly but it has the tendencies to swing back and forth (might cause by the weak servo), so i didn't really like it. I've tried a couple of time to solve it but just give up as my third motor and esc arrived. Dump all the electronics on to my new tricopter.
