Skyartec Mini Cessna Stick Mod

Skyartec Mini Cessna as i was told by its owner Mr Sopi and he has given me an opportunity to try n figure out how to modify its transmitter which is in mode 1 to mode 2.

Figuring the mod at the field and double checked by my fellow flyer Mr Osman. I brought the plane home with full permission by its owner to do as i like as long as its change to mode 2.

Here how i did it ...





As i open the back cover i saw that the joystick used in this tx is actually an assemble of two pots per stick which been soldered directly to the board.

To change the stick mode all i have to do is swap the two joystick to move the throttle stick which is the stick without the spring loaded to the left hand side. But as the the signal is pass directly through the board, the tx will still read the stick as mode 1. Because we can't swap the printed circuit.

Bare in mind if we do the swap and directly solder all the joystick legs to the board the tx still reads it as mode 1 although out throttle stick is now on the left hand side. So what i did is just soldered the rudder and aileron pot to the board as those two didn't change in our mode change. But first i bend the three legs on the throttle and elevator pot so i can create a jumper wire for the throttle and the elevator pot to connect to its original point on the board.

But all the trim are still in its original place as in mode 1. The change cna be made by cutting the circuit trace of throttle and elevator trim and replace it with wire jumpers. Which i didn't in this mod.
