Although we lost it to the lake but it already proven our concept design to be working with good maneuverability in the water and under.
Plans for ROV2 is already begun. With better design for underwater safety in mind.
On the first day of its maiden dive, we were able to get the proper buoyancy as we prefer it to be using a lots of washers to weight it down. after some difficulties with the connectivity of our control system, ROV1 was tested in the lake to make its maiden dive. Seeing it went into the water and disappear from our sight give some of us some goosebumps. But when looking into the monitor of what its saw under water all of us became excited that our project was proven to work. Automatically some of us started planning for the future upgrade to it.
But we were unlucky on the second day for more test dive, when one of its motors get stuck with fishnet which holding our rov and prevent us from retrieving it from under water.
